Homeschool Funnies~How much juice?

Doing math today. The math book asked- Pretend you are having a picnic, and you invite 4 friends, how many juice boxes would you need.

Lela: 3

Me: three? But, you invited four friends.

Lela: One's allergic to juice, and I don't like juice, so we'll have water.

In my head: um...I don't think that's exactly where the math book was going with this scenario. haha... maybe they should rethink their wording, and the use of "pretend"!

Homeschool Funnies~Swallowed a Fly

I was so excited that I found, I know a old woman who swallowed a fly in the used book sale at the library....tried it today for Belle's preK, and she told me that was tooooo scary! And I couldn't read it any more....had to do curriculum plan quick change and do Does a Kangaroo have a mother too? Eric Carle is apparently more her speed. lol And no more scary old lady she told me! lol
