Field Trip~Great Plains Nature Center

My dad took us on a wonderful field trip to the Great Plains Nature Center, and found a inch worm for the children to observe.

RJ HAD to play in the fountains. He asked me and I thought he wanted to go up to the teacher and said yes, he started RUNNING to the fountain screaming, yes, yes yes! lol haha Julie decided to stay with him over there so I could do the books with Lela and Belle.

Homeschool Funnies~How much juice?

Doing math today. The math book asked- Pretend you are having a picnic, and you invite 4 friends, how many juice boxes would you need.

Lela: 3

Me: three? But, you invited four friends.

Lela: One's allergic to juice, and I don't like juice, so we'll have water.

In my head: um...I don't think that's exactly where the math book was going with this scenario. haha... maybe they should rethink their wording, and the use of "pretend"!

Homeschool Funnies~Swallowed a Fly

I was so excited that I found, I know a old woman who swallowed a fly in the used book sale at the library....tried it today for Belle's preK, and she told me that was tooooo scary! And I couldn't read it any more....had to do curriculum plan quick change and do Does a Kangaroo have a mother too? Eric Carle is apparently more her speed. lol And no more scary old lady she told me! lol

Field Trip~Painting Tulips

Julie took us to a painting class to learn to paint Tulips. Her granddaughter Sarah had the day off school so she came too! The kids had so much fun learning different painting techniques.
